Tasting Notes

Deep black in colour. The bouquet is filled with dark fruits of blackberry and dark plum fruit with layers of spice and smokey oak. This full bodied wine has the fruit flavours of blackberry and dark plums, which is fleshy and opulent with a liquorice character on the palate. There is a subtle hint of fennel and oak along with lovely spicy notes. Velvety smooth tannins which are allowed to open up and breathe illustrate the longevity possible. This shiraz has a long seductive finish which is all interwoven between a backbone of oak and tannin perfectly.

Winemaking

This Barossa Valley Shiraz was fermented in French oak barrels.
