Introduction Small berried Grenache results in Eclaireur, a wine that is rich and all-enveloping. The Winemaking The fruit which sources Eclaireur, manifests itself as small berries on small bunches that are packed full with flavour. At dawn, the grapes are hand-picked, double sorted – firstly by bunch and then, after the destemmer, by grape. Fermentation, like our top wines, Exile and Émigré, is conducted in oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in 100 per cent new French Oak barrels. Tasting Notes Typical red Grenache colour; strong warm spice and red fruit aromas lead into a similarly warmly spiced palate with varietal confection fruit; from 100 year old vines.
